The deep log analysis study commences

20th January, 2008

The first ever national survey on the use of and perceptions of e-books by staff and students was distributed to over 120 higher education institutions today. Created and managed by the CIBER team at UCL, this survey will provide a benchmark against which to measure changes as the JISC national e-books observatory project progresses. The views of staff and students on a number of e-book issues will enable CIBER to compare how users think they use their course texts online against the real time data collected from the deep log analysis that will show what they are really doing with the course texts licensed as part of the JISC e-book project.

There is a £200 prize up for grabs for staff and students that enter the survey before February 15th. To participate in the survey please visit the JISC User Survey 2008 . The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. If you require further information please see the relevant information for faculty staff and students.
