12 workshops with 250 librarians from 131 different institutions

27th February, 2008

I would like to say a big thank you to all who attended the workshops as part of the JISC E-books UK Roadshow. We had the last workshop yesterday in Cardiff and just like all the others, it went really well. There was discussion, the sharing of ideas and experiences and a Matrix like utopia ‘with comfier chairs’. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops, as did my colleagues in JISC Collections and the members of the Project Board, who so kindly saved me (and you) from listening to my voice all day!

It was a pleasure to meet you all and I hope that you found the workshops enjoyable and informative and had a little bit of fun imagining the future of e-textbooks.

My task now is to pull together all the key themes, ideas and concerns from the workshops into something more comprehensive that I can share with yourselves, publishers and aggregators.

Until then, I know that many of you were keen to get the presentation from the workshop so here it is: JISC E-books UK Roadshow Presentation
